The employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs conducted intensive investigative actions regarding the incident that occurred on October 3 of the current year in the vicinity of the Metekhi Bridge.

Law enforcement officers have interviewed all three parties involved in the incident, who state that the reason for the conflict was a altercation between members of the United National Movement and temple servants, in which people from a nearby restaurant were involved.

The conflict escalated into a physical confrontation, as a result of which several people received various types of injuries.

The testimonies received at this stage of the investigation establish that more than ten young men who accompanied Igor Narmania and two young men who were protected by temple servants participated in the fight. The mentioned is also confirmed in a testimony by one of the young men accompanying I. Narmania. Relevant investigative actions continue in the case with the aim to identify individuals accused of the crime and bringing them to criminal justice.

The investigation is being conducted under Article 126 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which refers to violence committed by a group.
