Prime Minister of Georgia said the declared goal of the opposition’s rally scheduled for October 4, was to oppose the constitutional order and attempt to overthrow or forcibly change it.
“First and foremost, we must focus on the public statements. According to these statements, the declared goal of tomorrow’s protest rally is to oppose the constitutional order and attempt to overthrow or forcibly change it.
Relevant party leaders and other persons involved in organising this protest openly speak about this. Such public declarations are, in themselves, unconstitutional, as they imply an attempt to achieve unconstitutional objectives.
Moreover, we possess extensive operational information. If they speak about surprises, any small surprise will be met with a major surprise from us. This will happen within the framework of the law, but the law will be applied to them very strictly”, - said Irakli Kobakhidze.
