As a result of operational measures and investigative actions, officers of Poti Police Division of Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti Police Department under the Ministry of Internal Affairs arrested three individuals - D.K., born in 1975, S.Ch., born in 1986, and J.P., born in 1997 - who had been convicted of various crimes in the past, on charges of large-scale theft committed in group.

The committed crime envisions up to 10 years of imprisonment.

The investigation established that the defendants, who were employed at various times at a gas station in Poti, secretly took possession of up to 25 tons of fuel worth 47,496 GEL from the same gas station as a group for the purpose of unlawful appropriation.

As a result of the investigative actions carried out in the case, law enforcement officers identified all three persons involved in the crime and arrested them as defendants.

The investigation is ongoing under Article 177, Part III, Subparagraph "a" and Part IV, Subparagraph "b" of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
