Mtskheta-Mtianeti police seized a large amount of drugs – 1 person detained

As a result of operational measures and investigative actions, officers of Mtskheta-Mtianeti Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, arrested T.M., born in 1995, who had a previous conviction, on charges of illegal purchase and storage of a large amount of drugs and facilitation of further illegal sale.

The committed crime envisions up to 20 years or life imprisonment.

During the personal search of T.M. and search activities held in his vehicle, law enforcement officers also seized 14 packages of “Methadone” drug that the accused person had placed for sale at various locations as evidence.

The investigation is underway under Articles 260 and 260-(4), Part VI of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
