As a result of immediate operational measures and investigative actions, officers of Didube-Chughureti Police Main Division of Tbilisi Police Department under the Ministry of Internal Affairs arrested M.T., born in 1988, who had a previous conviction.

He is charged with theft, robbery and illegal planting, growing and cultivating of plants containing narcotic substances.

The committed crime envisions up to 8 years of imprisonment.

The investigation established that the accused person broke into apartments in Tbilisi at different times for the purpose of theft, stole expensive items, computer equipment, and fled the scene afterwards.

As a result of investigative actions and operational measures carried out in the case, the police arrested M.T. as an accused person and some of the stolen items were seized as evidence.

The investigation also revealed that the detainee had committed one of the robberies in Tbilisi.

During the search of M.T."s apartment, law enforcement officers also seized a special greenhouse for cultivating a drug-containing plant and "plant cannabis".

The investigation is ongoing under Articles 177, 178 and 265 of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
