The Georgian national basketball team faced Spain in its 1st match of EuroBasket 2025 and defeated the reigning champion with a score of 83:69. Sandro Mamukelashvili showed the best result, securing 19 points for the Georgian team.

The Georgian national team has faced Spain 4 times, with the overall record standing at 3:1 in Spain’s favor. Georgia’s only victory came in 2022.

The national basketball team, coached by Aleksandar Dzikic, will face Italy in its next match on August 30. The match will start at 16:00 local time.
