The European Union remains the principal export market for Georgian hazelnuts, with more than 12 000 tonnes exported to EU markets, generating a total value of USD 131 million. The Ministry, along with its Agencies, continues to monitor developments in the hazelnut sector. Meanwhile, efforts will continue to strengthen support mechanisms to improve hazelnut quality, enhance farmers’ knowledge and skills, and maintain the competitiveness of Georgian hazelnuts in international markets.
