Prosecutor General Giorgi Gvarakidze, together with Minister of Infrastructure Revaz Sokhadze, inspected the construction process of the new Prosecutor’s Office building

Prosecutor General of Georgia Giorgi Gvarakidze and Minister of Infrastructure Revaz Sokhadze, together with the Executive Director of the Municipal Development Fund Giorgi Shonia, inspected the construction works of the new administrative building of the Tbilisi Prosecutor’s Office on site.

The construction project for the new administrative building of the Prosecutor’s Office is being implemented by the Municipal Development Fund of the Ministry of Infrastructure. The building of modern standards will be adapted to the working needs of employees and will create appropriate conditions for the effective work of the Prosecutor’s Office.

The new building will house the Tbilisi District Prosecutor'’s Offices. For many years, employees of the District Prosecutor’s Offices have been working in rooms allocated in the building of the Tbilisi City Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

Giorgi Gvarakidze and Revaz Sokhadze received detailed information about the completed and ongoing works from the representatives of the contractor company. Representatives of the Levan Samkharauli National Bureau of Forensic Expertise also inspected the progress of the works on site.

As Prosecutor General Giorgi Gvarakidze noted, the new building will be tailored to the needs of the prosecutor’s office employees and all conditions will be created for productive work. The new building will also house a prosecutor’s office training center that meets modern standards. A child-friendly interrogation room equipped with appropriate technical equipment and a citizens’ reception will be arranged, where it will be possible to offer high-quality service to citizens visiting the prosecutor’s office.

Revaz Sokhadze paid special attention to the quality of the works and compliance with the deadlines set by the project. The quality and progress of the construction works will be monitored by specialists from the Municipal Development Fund and the Levan Samkharauli National Bureau of Forensic Expertise.

The new building of the Prosecutor’s Office aims to provide a modern working environment for the Prosecutor’s Office employees and improve working conditions, which is one of the important priorities of the Prosecutor’s Office.
