In honor of those who died in the August War, the Georgian national flag flown at half-mast on the Parliament’s Palace
The state flags are flown at half-mast as a token of remembrance for the victims of the August War. Seventeen years have passed since the Russia-Georgia August War, which resulted in over 400 fatalities and injured 2,232 citizens, 1,045 of whom were militants. In commemoration of the victims, the State Flags fly half-mast on all administrative buildings countrywide and the Georgian diplomatic missions abroad.
