The court found Doctor Giorgi Akhobadze not guilty

Doctor Giorgi Akhobadze, who was detained on charges of purchasing and possessing large quantities of narcotics, has been found not guilty by Tbilisi City Court and released from custody.
The decision was made by Judge Romeo Tkeshelashvili.
Akhobadze was arrested on December 7, while returning home from a protest rally. He faced charges of illegal acquisition and possession of large amounts of narcotics [a crime carries a sentence of 8 to 20 years or life imprisonment].
