Local self-government elections will be held in 12 weeks, writes Speaker of the Georgian Parliament on his Facebook page.

"The European Parliament adopted a resolution yesterday, which instructs the radical opposition not to participate in the local self-government elections, with the participation of Commissioner Marta Kos and amid her compliments to the resolution`s author, Rasa Juknevičienė.

Local self-government elections will be held in 12 weeks.

Let us note the European Commissioner`s position on the European Parliament`s resolution as the first interference by Brussels in Georgia`s elections during this electoral cycle, this time with the aim of disrupting them, which is tantamount to an attempt to deprive Georgian citizens of their electoral rights", - writes Shalva Papuashvili.
