Givi Mikanadze, a member of the Parliamentary Delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe [PACE], a Georgian Dream MP, assessed the actions of some politicians in 2012-2025 that were detrimental to Georgia’s foreign policy goals at a session of the Parliamentary Investigative Committee.
According to him, overall, the actions of opposition MPs and specific representatives of the non-governmental sector constitute an orchestrated campaign directed against the country.
“These specific forces, who want to return to power, know very well that they cannot achieve their goal through legitimate means and are doing everything they can to create wrong attitudes, wrong feelings and damage the image of the country both inside and outside the country. On this basis, they want to gain some support.
Of course, they act in coordination with the forces that are directly connected, manage them and act on their instructions. Accordingly, what we talked about today should not be surprising to the public, the public already had this information, it is just that today I was given the opportunity to discuss this issue in more detail”, - Givi Mikanadze.
