Prime Minister visits newly rehabilitated public school #4 in Zestaponi

Irakli Kobakhidze, Prime Minister of Georgia, together with Minister of Education, Science and Youth Alexandre Tsuladze, visited the fully rehabilitated public school #4 in Zestaponi.

The Head of Government familiarized himself with rehabilitation works. The school is designed to accommodate over 1,000 students.

The Head of Government congratulated the school’s principal, teachers, and students on the successful completion of the project, pointing out that the school rehabilitation program continues.

"School rehabilitation fosters improvements in teaching, among others. We have a concrete program additionally involving the full or partial rehabilitation of hundreds of schools, and the construction of new ones. This is one of the key priorities of the Georgian Government, and work in this direction will continue", - said Irakli Kobakhidze.

Alongside learning spaces, the school now features natural sciences and computer laboratories, athletic and conference halls, a library, a physician’s room, a resource area, and a sports field.

The building is in full compliance with international standards, also having been adapted to the needs of persons with disabilities.

The school`s rehabilitation has been carried out by the Educational and Scientific Infrastructure Development Agency, with support from the Government of Georgia. The project"s value makes up 6,227,659 GEL.
