The Bureau determined the agenda for the December 10-13 plenary sessions. According to the Speaker, Shalva Papuashvili, the autumn sessions are closing down on December 13 inasmuch as the Parliament is set as the venue for the election of the President of Georgia by the Electoral Panel on December 14.
“The current week is the last session timeframe. On Friday, December 13, we close down the autumn sessions and hold the election of the President by the Electoral Panel on Saturday, December 14. The Electoral Panel has already been established and composed. The Central Election Commission is organizing the elections in the Parliament Palace. We hold respective communication and correspondence with the CEC for due process organization. All Members of Parliament are enrolled in the Panel and are open for communication concerning the elections and organizational details. As for the Parliamentary activity, we have new initiatives ahead for expedited consideration”, - the Speaker noted.
The Bureau discussed new legislative initiatives and assigned respective Committees.
Per the information of the Speaker, the Parliament is debating the pre-term termination of the Powers of MP for Irakli Kobakhidze, Maka Botchorishvili, Anri Okhanashvili, David Songulashvili and Mariam Kvrivishvili.
