The Budget and Finance Committee approved the Draft Law on State Budget 2025

The Budget and Finance Committee discussed the final version of the Draft Law on State Budget 2025, introduced by the First Deputy Finance Minister, Giorgi Kakauridze.

According to him, the mixed budget 2025 in sum constitutes 32,4 bl. GEL, within which the state commitments are being fully covered. Compared to the initial version of the Draft, the submitted document provides the increased expenditures by 1,2 bl. GEL, which will result in extra financing for certain directions outlined in the Governmental Program “Only with peace, dignity, prosperity towards Europe”.

Per the information by the reporter, the forecast index of the mixed budget privatization constitutes 500,0 ml GEL. Based on the updated forecast for 2025, the tax revenues of the mixed budget in nominal constitute 25 305,0 ml GEL - exceeding the initial plan by 3 252,0 ml GEL.

The assignments for the Ministry of IDPs from the Occupied Territories, Labor, Health and Social Protection are determined by 8 820,0 ml GEL - exceeding the plan for 2024 by 990,9 ml GEL;

the assignments for the Ministry of Education, Science and Youth constitute 3 085,0, which is 577,0 ml GEL higher than initially established sum;
the financing for the Ministry of Culture is within 297,6 ml GEL;
and the budget of the Ministry of Sports constitute 298,4 ml GEL;
as for the assignments for the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure, the amount is 3 125,0 ml GEL, including 2 405,8 ml GEL in the budgetary assets, 18,5 ml GEL in capacity of grants, and 700,8 ml GEL as loans;
the budget of the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture constitutes 808,1 ml GEL;
the assignments for the Ministry of Economics and Sustainable Development- 947,0 ml GEL - higher than the index of 2024 by 146,0 ml GEL;
the budget of the Finance Ministry is to constitute 121,0 ml GEL;
the Justice Ministry - 442,0 ml GEL;
the Foreign Affairs Ministry - 215,0 ml GEL;
the Defense Ministry - 1 730,0 ml GEL, exceeding the plan for 2024 by 350,0 ml GEL;
and the Interior Ministry - 1 395,0 ml GEL - exceeding the plan for 2024 by 135,0 ml GEL, which also includes the 10%-growth of the salaries of the police forces.

According to the Chair of the Committee, Paata Kvizhinadze, economic growth allows increased financing in all directions.

“Almost all out of 24 remarks submitted at the preceding consideration of the Draft by the Committee are fulfilled except 2, which are under deliberation”, - he stated.
