The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, Maka Bochorishvili, held an introductory meeting with the Apostolic Nuncio to Georgia, Archbishop Ante Jozić, who also serves as the Dean of the Diplomatic Corps accredited in Georgia.

The discussion focused on the positive dynamics of relations between Georgia and the Holy See, the significance of recent collaborative projects, and prospects for deepening fruitful cooperation.

Key issues relating to partnership, including the challenges facing the country, were also addressed.

Among the topics discussed was Georgia’s European integration process, with an emphasis on the importance of steps that facilitate this integration. Both sides expressed their readiness to collaborate further with the Holy See in this regard. The shared European values of Georgia and the Vatican were also highlighted.

The Minister expressed gratitude to the Apostolic Nuncio for supporting Georgia"s foreign policy priorities, particularly highlighting the Vatican"s significant role in consolidating the international community’s stance on Georgia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. Both parties reaffirmed their readiness to engage in closer cooperation in the future.
