The disaster caused problems in Imereti. Heavy rain flooded houses, roads, bridges, and lands in Baghdati municipality. A landslide occurred in the village of Nergeeti. Disaster relief operations are currently underway on-site.

Heavy machinery is involved in the operation, and clean-up work is being conducted. In parallel, the damage assessment is ongoing.

The Minister of Infrastructure assessed the consequences of the disaster on-site. Revaz Sokhadze visited Baghdati together with representatives of the local government.
