Prime Minister of Georgia visits newly-rehabilitated Public Schools N4 & N5 in Batumi

Prime Minister of Georgia together with Minister of Education, Science and Youth Givi Mikanadze, Minister of Infrastructure Revaz Sokhadze, Chairman of the Government of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara Zurab Pataradze and Chairman of the Supreme Council of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara Tsotne Ananidze visited the newly-rehabilitated Public Schools N4 and N5 in Batumi.

The Head of Government of Georgia congratulated the teachers and students on starting the new academic year in a fully-renovated environment and wished them success. Irakli Kobakhidze was briefed on the infrastructure works carried out at the schools.

The rehabilitation of the schools was carried out by the Municipal Development Fund, with co-financing from the Government of Georgia and the World Bank.

The schools’ infrastructure has been fully renovated, including the creation of indoor and outdoor spaces, classrooms, sports grounds and school yards meeting modern educational standards. The heating, water supply and wastewater systems have also been completely replaced. Both schools are fully adapted to the needs of students with special educational needs.
