A new European airline, Norwegian Air Sweden, is entering the Georgian aviation market. From June 2026, another European capital, Copenhagen, will be connected to Tbilisi with direct flights.

Direct flights between Tbilisi and Copenhagen will be operated twice a week, every Wednesday and Saturday, starting from June 27, and every Wednesday and Sunday starting from August 15.

According to Tamar Ioseliani, Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, the entry of a new airline into the market is important, as it will increase tourist flows and connect Northern Europe with our country: "The Scandinavian market is a very important and strategic gap for us, therefore Copenhagen is a hub and in this direction there will be an increasing connectivity of tourist flows from the Scandinavian countries to the capital of our country. It is important to note here that regular flights will be operated from the Kingdom of Denmark throughout the year. In this direction, Northern Europe will be connected to our country. Of course, we expect an increase in tourist flows".
