Head of Caucasus Muslim Board to attend funeral of Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia Ilia II

Chairman of the Caucasus Muslim Board, Sheikh-ul-Islam Allahshukur Pashazade, will attend the funeral of His Holiness Ilia II, Catholicos-Patriarch of Georgia.

He made the statement following the Eid prayer, revealing that he had visited the Georgian Embassy to convey his condolences.

“I expressed my sympathies there. Ilia II was my friend. He stood with me on the matter of Armenia. May God grant him mercy”, - said Sheikh-ul-Islam Allahshukur Pashazade.
