We positively assess relations with Georgia, hope that in the near future we will move to a completely new stage in trade, investment and economic issues - Armenian Minister of Economy

The Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development is on a visit to the Republic of Armenia. Mariam Kvrivishvili met with her Armenian counterpart, discussed issues regarding the further development of trade and economic ties between Georgia and Armenia.

The importance of bringing the business circles of the two countries closer together was emphasized. They discussed deepening cooperation in the tourism sector, as well as the importance of activating air traffic between the countries.

“We discussed the main aspects of the bilateral trade and economic agenda, as well as tourism issues and, of course, the reduction of trade barriers between our countries. We assess relations with Georgia positively, at a very high level, and hope that in the near future we will move to a completely new stage in trade, investment, and economic issues. I hope that this visit will serve as a good platform for further deepening and strengthening our relations”, - said Gevorg Papoyan, Minister of Economy of Armenia.
