Tengiz Sharmanashvili, a member of the parliamentary majority, responds to the Moldova`s President`s statement that "Russia pulled Georgia back into its orbit by weaponising the fear of war, signalling that the wrong electoral choice would come at the cost of peace".

"When people were storming the presidential palace, Maia Sandu was wishing success to those committing acts of violence. This biased individual continues to use every platform against Georgia, whilst her own country faces a dire and catastrophic situation.

Any ratings that are published, whether in terms of economic growth or levels of corruption, indicate that they are in a state of decline. She takes no real steps there, and is she concerned about Georgia`s development? That is completely inconceivable on her part.

No one disputes any longer that there is no fabricated threat from Russia. We can all clearly see what type of attacks Russia is carrying out in Ukraine, how infrastructure is being bombed, and what losses Ukraine has suffered.

Under such circumstances, portraying a fabricated military adventure with Russia as credible demonstrates a level of objectivity that leaves me at a loss for an appropriate term.

If Maia Sandu doesn`t view military confrontation with Russia as such a threat, she can carry it out herself within her own country, using her own army, and we shall see what results ensue. They criticize us for not being adventurers and for not initiating a military and economic venture. We won`t do that, which doesn`t mean returning to Russia`s orbit", - said Tengiz Sharmanashvili.
