It is very likely that food prices will start to decrease by April. Such a statement made today Levan Machavariani, First Deputy Chairman of the Georgian Dream parliamentary faction.

“We promised the public that we would conduct a very detailed study of primary food products. We already see certain points where price reductions are possible. This process will be transparent from beginning to end, both the Government commission and the commission established in Parliament.

The State Security Service is also involved, in order to exclude some kind of cartel transactions. It entered several facilities based on a court ruling to request documentation related to this price formation.

As we promised the public, a very large part of this work will be completed by April. It is precisely by that period that our citizens will feel the results of their work, since, most likely, prices will begin to decrease during that period”, - said Levan Machavariani.
