Officers of Adjara Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia arrested a Ukrainian citizen I.D., born in 1998, on charges of illegal purchase, storage and sale of a large quantity of drugs.

Law enforcement officers in Batumi, as a result of a search of the defendant`s personal belongings and temporary residential apartment, seized a large quantity of the drug "Methadone" as evidence.

The police also seized materials necessary for packaging drugs.

The investigation is underway under Articles 260 and 260-4 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which provides for up to 20 years or life imprisonment.
