An investment of USD 150 million will be made to expand the airport, which will significantly increase its capacity and, at the same time, significantly improve the quality of passenger service - Kobakhidze

Today is a very important day, we are signing an agreement with the French company Groupe ADP on the expansion of Tbilisi International Airport. Georgian Prime Minister announced this during his speech at the presentation of the Tbilisi International Airport expansion project.

“As part of the agreement, TAV, a company owned by Groupe ADP, will provide airport management for an additional 5 years, until the end of 2031, until the completion of the construction of the new Tbilisi International Airport in Vaziani.

A USD 150 million investment will be made to expand the airport, which will significantly increase its capacity and, at the same time, significantly improve the quality of passenger services. The investment will ensure an increase in passenger traffic, continuous improvement of services, the creation of a comfortable and safe environment for passengers, fast and efficient operational processes, and the introduction of a modern, international standard passenger experience.

I would like to express special gratitude to our foreign partners - Groupe ADP and TAV for their many years of fruitful cooperation in the development of Georgian airports”, - said Irakli Kobakhidze.
