The officers of the Imereti Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs arrested 2 individuals on charges of facilitating the illegal purchase, storage and sale of narcotic drugs in particularly large quantities: A.K., a citizen of Ukraine, born in 1985, and I.G., a citizen of Moldova, born in 2005, at different times.

As a result of a search of the personal and temporary residences of the defendants, law enforcement officers seized more than half a kilogram of the narcotic drug “Methadone” prepared for sale, in particularly large quantities, as evidence. The police also seized materials necessary for the packaging of narcotic drugs.

Investigation is launched under Articles 260 and 260-4 of the Criminal Code, which provides for up to 20 years or life imprisonment.
