Over the past 7 months alone, the Ministry of Internal Affairs has prevented dozens of cases of drug trafficking into the country and seized several hundred kilograms of drugs. The Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Georgia said this at today`s briefing.

"We continue to fight against drug crime 24 hours a day. We pay great attention to identifying drug dealers and punishing them with the full severity of the law.

Over the past 7 months alone, the Ministry of Internal Affairs has prevented dozens of cases of drug trafficking into the country and seized several hundred kilograms of drugs. More than 5,000 people have been arrested and brought to justice for drug crimes, including up to 2,000 people involved in drug trafficking", - said Aleksandre Darakhvelidze.
