Officers of the Central Criminal Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs have arrested a citizen of the Russian Federation - A.G., born in 1989, on charges of illegal purchase, storage and importation of a particularly large amount of narcotics into Georgia.

Law enforcement officers have seized 1 kilogram and 200 grams of the narcotic drug “cocaine” from a specially arranged hiding place in the detainee"s travel bag at Tbilisi International Airport, the value of which exceeds one million GEL on the so-called black market.

The investigation is underway under Articles 260 and 262 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which envisages up to 20 years or life imprisonment.
