The Chandler Institute published a ranking of property rights protection as part of its Good Government 2025 report, placing Georgia among the top twenty countries of the EU member and candidate states.

The surveys measured, on the one hand, the extent to which property rights were protected in a country, and, on the other hand, the likelihood that property owners would lose their right to use their property or part of it against their will in the next 5 years.

Georgia is ranking 36th worldwide and 19th among the top-20 EU member and candidate states.

Georgia outperformed 15 OECD, EU and NATO member states. These countries include Poland, Croatia, Latvia, Greece, Cyprus, Malta, Hungary, Slovakia, Romania, Bulgaria, Albania, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Turkey, South Korea.
