Not only the Georgian government, but also the Georgian people are strongly pro-Western. Such a statement the Prime Minister of Georgia made in an interview with TRT WORLD.

As he noted, the Georgian government is doing everything to maintain this mood in Georgian society, to maintain a positive attitude towards the EU, despite all the unfair actions of the European bureaucracy.

"We are essentially pro-Western, both as a Government and as a people. If we look at public opinion polls, unfortunately, the recent actions of the European bureaucracy have somewhat shaken people`s trust in the EU, but support is still very high and we are doing everything to maintain this mood in Georgian society, to maintain a positive attitude towards the EU, despite all these unfair actions of the European bureaucracy. That is why we can boldly say that not only the Georgian government, but also the Georgian people are strongly pro-Western. We are part of Western culture, we are part of European culture. That is why we have a very clear vision in this regard. Once again, if the European bureaucracy changes its attitude towards Georgia, I think everything can be fixed and we can finally become full members of the EU by 2030. This is quite realistic", - said Irakli Kobakhidze.
