EU report unlikely to be positive, may overlook Georgian progress - Maka Botchorishvili

Biased assessments on Georgia that had often been heard from the European Union might also be reflected in the European Commission`s upcoming report. Such a statement made Foreign Minister of Georgia.

"Recently, we have observed that the EU has been making less objective assessments on Georgia.

The assessments are mostly biased. It is unlikely that this report will be positive towards Georgia and reflect the significant progress that Georgia has made.

We can already assume this, based on the statements made and steps taken by the EU throughout the year.

However, let`s wait for the report itself and then we will see how objectively it will reflect Georgia`s progress, the steps that Georgia has taken, development that has taken place in Georgia over the past year, which is reflected in various ratings, various figures, economic growth and development. However, let`s see how this will be reflected in the report of the EU", - said Maka Botchorishvili.
