Georgian Minister of Internal Affairs invited by Hungarian counterpart to Budapest

Minister of Internal Affairs of Georgia - Geka Geladze, together with the delegation, is paying an official visit to Hungary.

Within the framework of the visit, Minister held a bilateral meeting with his Hungarian colleague, Sándor Pintér. The parties discussed the priority directions of the existing cooperation in the field of law enforcement. Particular attention was paid on the current and future activities for sharing experience and best practices between the parties.

By agreement of the parties, a special working group will be established in the near future to ensure the deepening of police cooperation between the two countries, in particular in the areas of migration, the fight against drug crime, and educational programs at the Police Academy.

The importance of existing strong friendly relations between Georgia and Hungary was also emphasized at the meeting. Furthermore, the Ministers of Internal Affairs of the two countries once again expressed readiness for strengthening the cooperation between the law enforcement agencies.

At the end of the meeting, Geka Geladze expressed gratitude to his Hungarian counterpart for the hospitality and invited him to pay return visit to Georgia.
