The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to the US, Tamar Taliashvili held a meeting with the Chair of the Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee of the US Senate, Senator Rand Paul (R), who also serves as a ranking member of the Foreign Relations, Health Labor and Pensions, as well as Small Business and Entrepreneurship Committees.

Within the framework of the meeting the discussion focused on the prospects of strengthening US-Georgian relations.

Regional affairs, importance of peace initiatives and relevant issues on the international arena were also discussed.
