Irakli Kobakhidze, Prime Minister of Georgia met Ali Asadov, Prime Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The meeting took place within the framework of the Tbilisi Silk Road Forum, where Prime Minister Asadov is attending.

The discussion focused on the strategic partnership between Georgia and Azerbaijan and the further development of their close ties.

The two leaders discussed trade and economic cooperation between the countries and the potential for direct investments from Azerbaijan into Georgia. They also highlighted the importance of joint regional projects between Georgia and Azerbaijan. It was noted that the existing regional projects are a clear example of the reliable strategic partnership between the two countries. Emphasis was placed on the importance of connectivity and the development of the Middle Corridor, as well as Georgia"s role in this regard.

Irakli Kobakhidze assured his Azerbaijani counterpart of Georgia"s continued efforts to promote peace and stability in the region.
