President of Georgia, Mikheil Kavelashvili, met with Turkmenistan’s Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov, who is on an official visit to Georgia.

The parties discussed current political and economic relations between the two countries. They also discussed future prospects for deepening bilateral cooperation in various fields.

The President thanked the Turkmen Foreign Minister for his support of Georgia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.

As Mikheil Kavelashvili noted, Georgia is ready to deepen cooperation in political, economic and cultural areas.

“We are ready to deepen bilateral cooperation in the political, economic and cultural spheres and contribute to better utilizing the potential of the South Caucasus and Central Asia regions and creating greater prosperity for our countries, which, in turn, will contribute to the formation of a just and peaceful multipolar international order”, - added the President.
