Prime Minister of Georgia meets newly-appointed Ambassadors to Germany and Czech Republic

Irakli Kobakhidze, Prime Minister of Georgia met newly-appointed Ambassadors Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to Germany and the Czech Republic - Aleksandre Kartozia and Ruslan Abashidze.

The Head of Government of Georgia congratulated the diplomats on the start of their missions and wished them success.

Aleksandre Kartozia, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to the Federal Republic of Germany has many years of experience working in public institutions. Over the years, he has served as Minister of Education and Director of the National Parliamentary Library of Georgia.

Mr. Kartozia has also held leading academic positions at Tbilisi State University and worked as a researcher and lecturer, delivering courses and seminars at leading universities in Berlin, Frankfurt and Bremen.

Ruslan Abashidze, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to the Czech Republic has worked at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs since 1996. From 2009 to 2013, he served as Georgia’s Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Republic of Estonia and from 2013 to 2015 he was Ambassador-at-Large.

Over the years, he has held the positions of First Deputy State Minister for Reconciliation and Civic Equality, as well as Chairman of the Government of the Autonomous Republic of Abkhazia.
