Searches have been conducted at the residences of Irakli Garibashvili, Grigol Liluashvili, Otar Partskhaladze, and other individuals connected to them, eight in total. Such a statement the Prosecutor General made at today’s briefing.
“Due to the particularly high public interest and the significance of the criminal cases, I would like to provide the public with the following information.
Within the framework of ongoing investigations in the Investigative Unit of the General Prosecutor’s Office of Georgia, the Anti-Corruption and State Security Departments of the State Security Service [SSSG], large-scale operations were conducted today starting at 10 am, simultaneously at a total of 22 locations across the country. As part of the joint operation, searches were conducted at the residences and personal properties of Georgia’s former Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili, former Head of the SSSG Grigol Liluashvili, former Chief Prosecutor Otar Partskhaladze, and eight individuals associated with them.
Various electronic devices, documents, and a large amount of cash were seized. Investigative, procedural, and operational-search activities are actively being carried out in connection with these cases. The public will be periodically provided with additional information regarding the progress and results of the investigation”, - said Giorgi Gvarakidze.
