Everyone must understand that the country is governed by its people. Such a statement the Mayor of Tbilisi made in response to assessments made by certain representatives of the European Union and European institutions regarding the October 4 elections.
"My stance is straightforward - neither Kallas nor Kos will be able to help you if the Georgian people do not support you. The EU holds no real interest for me; what matters most is His Excellency, the Georgian people.
You need to understand one fundamental point: the true rulers of this country are its ordinary citizens; the population you see here, the people of Georgia, not external actors. Remember this. The governance of this nation rests solely with His Excellency, the Georgian people. They decide who should be in power, and they determine how the opposition spectrum should be represented", - said Kakha Kaladze.
