As of 17:00, the voter turnout stands at 1,175,817 voters, which accounts for 33.5% of the total number of registered voters – CEC

A next news briefing was held at the Central Election Commission of Georgia (CEC). As stated by the CEC Spokesperson, Natia Ioseliani, the electoral process is generally proceeding in a calm environment and in full compliance with established procedures.

"Now, let me share the latest update on the voting process: the ongoing election demonstrates that, similar to the last year, voters have easily and effectively adapted to the use of electronic technologies, casting their votes without difficulty. As of 17:00, the voter turnout stands at 1,175,817 voters, which accounts for 33.5% of the total number of registered voters.

We would also like to remind everyone of the procedures defined by law following the closing of polling stations. Voting completes at 20:00 (8:00 p.m.). Voters who are in line by that time will still be allowed to cast their ballots. The chairperson of each precinct election commission will ensure that such voters are properly registered and enabled to participate in the voting process", – said Natia Ioseliani.
