Today, CEC Chairperson Giorgi Kalandarishvili visited Elene Abashidze, an elderly voter, accompanied by CEC Press Spokesperson Natia Ioseliani. During the visit, they provided information on the introduction of electronic technologies in the electoral process, the use of mobile ballot boxes, ballot-filling procedures, and other important aspects of the upcoming October 4 elections.

Chairperson Kalandarishvili emphasized that it has become a tradition for the election administration to personally meet with elderly voters ahead of general elections. Such visits underscore the importance of every citizen`s participation. While it is not feasible to physically reach all elderly voters nationwide, these meetings convey the message that their involvement is as valuable as that of any other age group.

The meeting was also attended by Tinatin Kalmakhelidze, Chairperson of the Chugureti District Election Commission, and commission member Irma Fidashvili.
