This is not the first time that the Guardian has published an article commissioned by Bachiashvili, said Speaker of the Georgian Parliament. He was responding to a journalist`s question regarding a letter published by Bidzina Ivanishvili`s lawyer, which talks about articles commissioned by Giorgi Bachiashvili.

"This once again shows the state of the media in Europe. I also remembered [Donald] Trump’s words when he talks about fake media, mainstream media that has been formed as fake media. This is the current state of the media in Europe, which is truly deplorable, when it is clearly visible that money has been paid for an article and this is not disclosed, therefore this is one of the indicators of corruption in the media", - said Shalva Papuashvili.

Teimuraz Tsikvadze, lawyer of Bidzina Ivanishvili, Honorary Chairman of the Georgian Dream, released a statement noting that The Guardian journalist Daniel Boffey and Philip Shishkin [freelancer] have contacted him regarding Giorgi Bachiashvili`s case.
