Ukraine`s Education and Science Minister thanks Georgia for collaboration and support

Oksen Lisovyi, the Ukrainian Minister of Education and Science, extended his gratitude to Georgia for its invaluable support and assistance toward Ukraine`s educational sector.

In his letter to Givi Mikanadze, Georgian Minister of Education, Science and Youth, he noted that solidarity and cooperation of Georgia were very much appreciated, especially in light of the current difficulties faced by Ukraine.

"The Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, together with Ukraine`s Centre for Educational Quality Assessment, extends its sincere gratitude for your invaluable support and assistance. Solidarity and cooperation of yours are particularly significant against the backdrop of the difficulties that Ukraine currently faces.

We would like to express our sincere gratitude for the continued support in helping our country with an important task: preparing and conducting admission examinations for the Ukrainian higher education institutions offering bachelor`s and master`s programs. This is the fourth consecutive year that you have offered your assistance, and we are deeply grateful for your commitment and dedication. The implementation of this initiative abroad would not be possible without your facilitation.

This year, Ukrainian candidates for admission who were forced to leave their homeland due to the war were graciously offered to pass admission examinations to the Ukrainian higher education institutions in 33 countries around the world.

Also, we would like to express our gratitude to the management of educational organisations for their efforts in establishing temporary examination centers [TECs], to the teachers, coordinators, and IT specialists. Their assistance was very much appreciated!

We recognize that establishing TECs imposed additional demands on the educational process and incurred financial costs. That is why your country`s dedication and that of its institutions hosting TEC events are greatly appreciated.

We express hope for continued cooperation and expressed gratitude for Georgia`s concern, care, and commitment to shared values. Together we are stronger", - reads the letter.
