State flag flown at half-mast on the Presidential Palace in honor of those who died in the August 2008 war
To mark the 17th anniversary of the 2008 Russia-Georgia War and to honor the memory of those who lost their lives, the national flag has been flown at half-mast on the building of the Presidential Palace.
By the order of the Government, signed by Irakli Kobakhidze, Prime Minister of Georgia, national flags have been flown at half-mast on all government buildings across Georgia in tribute to the victims of Russia’s large-scale military intervention, carried out with the aim of illegally occupying the Abkhazia and Tskhinvali regions.
