Irakli Kurashvili appointed as Ambassador of Georgia to France, Permanent Representative of Georgia to UNESCO

Irakli Kurashvili has been appointed as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to the French Republic and Permanent Representative of Georgia to UNESCO.
His diplomatic career spans 30 years. Over the years, he has held various positions in the central administration and diplomatic missions.
Irakli Kurashvili served as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to the Republic of Latvia in 2023-2025, to the Republic of Argentina in 2017-2022, and to the Swiss Confederation in 2012-2017.
In 2022-2023, he headed the Directorate General for European Integration of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Irakli Kurashvili has been granted the diplomatic rank of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary.
