Significant steps have recently been taken by both sides to ensure that relations between Georgia and the US are viewed in a positive light. Such a statement was made by Vice Prime Minister/Foreign Minister of Georgia.

"We are working with the United States on defining the substance of renewed relations between Georgia and the US and on how these relations should be developed. We hope that in the near future we will have another opportunity to discuss these substantive issues in greater detail.

We have repeatedly stated that Georgia is ready to have meaningful relations with the US. This means that the relationship should reflect Georgia’s national interests and, of course, the interests of the US. Above all, these relations must be based on mutual respect. We see a willingness on the part of the US that this is achievable", - said Maka Botchorishvili.
