All citizens who violate traffic safety will be fined - Levan Maisuradze, Director of the Patrol Police Department

A law came into force on July 9, which provides increased sanctions for pedestrians for violating traffic rules. In particular, the 10-GEL fine has been increased to 50. A repeated offense will be 100 GEL instead of 20.

A 100-GEL fine is provided for violating the rules on a highway, international or domestic road.

“The Ministry of Internal Affairs’ priority is to comply with road safety rules, therefore, the law has been tightened. The patrol police are actively enforcing the law. All citizens who violate road safety will be fined.

I call on pedestrians not to violate traffic rules and to obey the law”, - said Levan Maisuradze, Director of the Patrol Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
