World Ranger Day is celebrated worldwide on July 31. This year, the date is celebrated in four different locations of Georgia - Lagodekhi, Algeti, Sataplia and Kolkheti protected areas.
About 500 rangers deployed among 25 territorial administrations safeguard the Protected Areas of Georgia and protect more than 13% of the territory of the country.
The Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia, David Songulashvili, congratulated the rangers on their professional day.
