Chairman of the Culture Committee, delivered an address at the Forum within the Global Civilizations Dialogue Ministerial, outlining his vision for the creation of an inclusive global society.

“I am honoured to represent the Georgian nation, renowned for its centuries-old history and unique culture, at the Global Civilizations Dialogue Ministerial 2025. The Global Civilizations Dialogue is a pivotal initiative that strives to foster inter-national and inter-cultural dialogue”, - said Giorgi Gabunia.

He regarded China as a country of ancient civilisation, possessing a distinctive culture and traditions, and having attained the pinnacle of development in all spheres. As MP emphasised, culture serves as the embodiment of a nation and underscores the diversity of its progress.

“Georgia, akin to China, is an ancient nation situated at the confluence of Europe and Asia. Its distinctive geographical location has consistently made it a pivotal hub for the exchange of European and Asian cultures. Nevertheless, Georgian culture has maintained its distinctiveness, setting itself apart from all other nations. It is characterised by its originality, self-sufficiency, and unbroken traditions… Georgia is considered an integral component of the Silk Road, a trade-economic bridge connecting Asia and Europe. It served as a hub for the exchange among diverse nations… Today, the world faces turbulent times, with international relations becoming increasingly fragile. However, amidst this uncertainty, culture possesses the potential to enhance inter-nation relations. The cultural dialogue between global nations fosters a deeper sense of mutual respect and love, encouraging us to forgive and reconcile. Ultimately, this collective effort will contribute to a more peaceful world”, - said Giorgi Gabunia.
