Tornike Rizhvadze remains in the First University Clinic. Former Chairman of the Adjara government is still on ventilator support in the intensive care unit.

According to the clinic, his condition is serious, although the dynamics are positive.

Rizhvadze was transported from Sagarejo to Tbilisi yesterday [July 7] morning. The former high-ranking official has a gunshot wound to the chest, specifically to the lung.

It is expected that today Head of the Maritime Transport Agency, Alex Akhvlediani, will be charged with careless storage of a firearm in connection with the Tornike Rizhvadze case.

Police detained Akhvlediani yesterday, he is currently in the Avchala temporary detention center.
