Parliament elects Mariam Lashkhi as Education, Science, and Youth Affairs Committee Chairperson

Parliament of Georgia has officially elected Mariam Lashkhi as Chairperson of the Education, Science, and Youth Affairs Committee.

The draft resolution to appoint Mariam Lashkhi was brought to a vote during today`s plenary session.

Support for her election was unanimous, with 81 MPs voting in favour and none opposing.

Mariam Lashkhi succeeds Givi Mikanadze, who was recently appointed Minister of Education.
